Feeding the Hungry
As a congregation we contribute to Dorval Community Aid's food bank on a weekly basis through what we like to call the "Food of the Week Challenge." Each week a different non-perishable food item is announced and the congregation is challenged to bring that item in for the food bank. Check our News & Events page to see what the challenge is for this week! For more information about what Dorval Community Aid does, please see their website: http://www.ville.dorval.qc.ca/en/community/page/community-aid Here is a list of general supplies that are always needed: -Milk -peanut butter -canned tomatoes -tomato sauce -canned fruit -tuna (or any other canned meat) -cereal -rice Every December we also host a Christmas concert and all the profits go towards buying food for families registered with Community Aid's Christmas basket program and to help stock the food bank's shelves. Stay tuned for details about this year's concert featuring The Mimosa Wind Ensemble and the Blackwatch Pipes and Drums. An event not to be missed. Stay tuned for next year's concert December 2020!! |

For 11 years the Mimosa Wind Ensemble and the 306 Maple Leaf Wing Pipes & Drums put on an annual Christmas concert to raise money to buy food for Dorval Community Aid.
Seven years ago the Pipes and Drums of The Black Watch joined us to continue the tradition!
We are looking forward to this year's concert on December 17th, 2018 at 7:30pm!
